SCHOOL PROGRAMMING

Thanks to grants from the Frisco Association for the Arts, the DeSoto Arts Commission, and the Texas Commission on the Arts, we launched our elementary school programs in 2014, bringing musicians into schools to engage directly with young students. Our mission for these programs is to support the music curriculum of local school districts and give young students exposure to professional performances. We showcase a variety of instruments and feature programs on music from around the world, storytelling through music, and the ways we use music in our everyday lives.

In 2021, Astraios released our own unique arrangement of
Camille Saint-Saëns's beloved "Carnival of the Animals." These videos and a teacher discussion guide are been made available for no cost since the pandemic.
